UniFi U6 Pro Access Point

The Ubiquiti U6 Pro is the access point we deploy as default for offices, villas and restaurants up to about 140 m² per AP. WiFi 6 with 4×4 MU-MIMO on 5 GHz delivers a 4.8 Gbps physical rate, which translates to roughly 700–900 Mbps of real-world throughput to a modern WiFi 6 client at 5 metres. That's faster than most ISP fibre handoffs, so the AP is rarely the bottleneck. The single Gigabit Ethernet uplink is PoE+ (12.95 W typical), and works with any UniFi switch with PoE+ ports — we usually pair with the USW-24-PoE we also stock. Mounting is ceiling-first with an included sub-plate, or wall via the included bracket; both options are concealed-cable friendly. The UniFi controller is free and self-hostable — no monthly licence or per-device fees, unlike Aruba Central or Meraki. We deploy controllers either on a UniFi Dream Machine Pro (also in our catalogue) or as a Docker container on the client's existing infrastructure. The AP supports 802.11k/v/r fast roaming, so a Zoom call walking through an office with multiple U6 Pros stays connected to the strongest AP without dropping the audio stream. Security includes WPA3 (mandatory in modern client deployments), 802.1X RADIUS authentication for corporate networks and a captive-portal guest network with voucher support.
